I started watching House on Haunted Hill (1959) and someone very knowledgeable pointed that the house must be a Frank Lloyd Wright house. I jumped to google it and indeed, the House on Haunted Hill is the 1924 Frank Lloyd Wright Ennis House.
Built of interlocking pre-cast blocks of decomposed granite the house started crumbling before it was finished.
This movie is fabulous though, also because of the use of this house. What modern horror movie would use a non-goth house as centerpiece?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg4D1u6R65Y
